let’s start off with my physical skills, as you can see here I’m personally not the best at sketches, I utilise them for reference, for example, if I wanted to create an asset in blender, I always have my reference sketch and sometimes even a TODO (e.g. remember to buy red cloth material.)

now leading on from the previous sketch, this further reinforces how I use drawing for my reference
As you can see in this image here I break it down into multiple angle shots, tiny notes for example colour, material etc.
I also include things such as what I will be using it for, if it’s a game, which project
Date and TODO as standard.

these are some design blueprints, in here I like to show layout, estimated size in real life square meters, materials and textures used, and of course in this case lines showing how the player flows from entrance to objective

This specific set of blueprints was made for my old project
This was actually in fact the nightclub
In that, you will see the first floor
This game was supposed to host multiple floors, but after I got close to finishing up on visuals, I made a calculated choice to stop with that project and begin a new one with a better set of principles

Notes

and of course, lastly, lets go over my notes

I personally take to a messy kind of notetaking

For example, you have segmented areas focusing on technical summary, player hardware requirement, quest flow, budget details, cut scenes, et cetera

I find this to be extremely useful, just like the rest of my handmade paper sketches, these help me stay on track with the roadmap I provide myself

I like to make this initially before I even begin designing, and going into specifics like budget midway through it

I also include percentages such as layout, LOD, grey boxing, modelling and UI

This is a rough percentage of how much I have actually done for each category

Of course I will leave the rest to you for review.
